ZEN CHILL OUT
Ideal for students facing burn out and overwhelm, Zen Chill Out focuses on mindfulness-based exercises, techniques to soothe the nervous system and a guided meditation to leave you feeling rested and restored. In the virtual option, we will spend some time at the beginning to help students make their space into a restful sanctuary. Students will also have the option to turn off video, close their eyes and be guided by audio prompts if they’re Zoomed out!
YOGA CHILL OUT
Ideal for students looking to get moving in a healthy way, Yoga Chill Out focuses on breathing techniques and easy yet powerful yoga poses to revitalize the mind, body and spirit. We will also explore what the intersections between yoga and modern neuroscience teach us about resilience. No previous yoga experience necessary! In the virtual option, students with limited space will have the option to adapt the poses to do them in a chair or on their bed if needed.
BUILDING RESILIENT SCHOOL COMMUNITIES
Ideal for mental health awareness events, this inspiring and informative workshop will give students a new perspective on the unique challenges facing us today as we grapple with the impacts of a pandemic, the increasing pace and isolation of society and increasing political and social polarization. We’ll talk through ways of building a resilient school community and how to dismantle social stigmas around mental health. Finally, we’ll practice hands on practical skills to deal with stress, panic and anxiety that you can put to use immediately.
RESILIENCE SKILLS MASTER CLASS
Ideal for graduate level students and advisors looking to master crucial skills to thrive amid challenge and crisis, this training offers a comprehensive overview of the science and practice of resilience. We will explore the intersections of modern neuroscience and ancient meditation, and take the time to experience the profound shifts in our nervous system, mood and energy that come from putting these techniques into practice.

ABOUT
As a speaker and workshop facilitator, I have over ten years of experience teaching resilience skills both individually and in groups. Working in a parallel career in politics and activism, I've brought my methods to high stress environments in nonprofits and national campaigns.
I started my resilience journey as a certified yoga teacher through the Australian School of Yoga and Meditation. I’m additionally certified through Warriors at Ease to teach those impacted by trauma, including soldiers and veterans. Influenced by the somatic and mindfulness techniques pioneered by clinicians such as Peter Levine, Bessel van der Kolk and Dan Siegel as well as the groundbreaking work of Dr. Stephen Porges, my work emphasizes simple, science-based exercises to promote self-regulation and emotional mastery.
